Avalanche Emerald Flowsion ~ Mitsuharu Misawa vs Naomichi Marufuji

This move is a personal favorite of mine!

GAMENGIRI ~ !!!! In slow motion, Kawada makes Misawa taste the boot!

Simply beautiful!

The memories!

Edit: Sally pointed out that the correct spelling, based on the Japanese pronounciation would be “ GANMEN-GERI ” ^_^

It’s June 13th. This date marks the tragic passing of the Legend Mitsuharu Misawa.
Nothing I can type can rightfully express how much this man has given and sacrified for the sport of pro wrestling, and nothing I type will be enough to thank him for everything he’s done for us fans, and every memory he has left us with.
He was and still is The Best. The most decorated man in pro wrestling history.
Thank you Misawa-san…
 R.I.P…
We miss you and the Legend of Emerald will forever live on.

The late Mitsuharu Misawa entrance theme : Spartan X (Super Generation Version)

One of the most famous and recognizable themes in pro wrestling history.

RIP Misawa-san, and domo arigato.

Shinsuke Nakamura & Hirooki Goto vs Mitsuharu Misawa & Takashi Suguira (NJPW January 4th 2009 @ the Tokyo Dome)

NJPW vs NOAH aka the kind of confrontations I dig very much! The crowd was really into this match, especially with everyone focusing on using elbows against each other (some Misawa love right there!). Hirooki Goto was SO DYNAMIC in this match, really setting up the pace. Suguira was very aggressive. Nakamura put on an extra effort, since he’s facing the legend Misawa.

Man, I really loved the last minutes of the match when all of them hit their finishers, that’s when you really get into it even more. I was hoping they’d drag it out a little bit from there, but nope. Nakamura hit his flying cross armbreaker on Suguira and NJPW won!

Good match overall between the two promotions! Would like to see more of Goto & Nakamura as tag team partners, they really have great chemistry!
